Subtle drug references, mental health themes, social media critique
Detailed Analysis
These lyrics are largely positive and uplifting, centered on appreciating nature, sunshine, freedom, and disconnecting from social media. There is a brief reference to 'swishers and a lighter' (swisher sweets are cigar wraps commonly associated with rolling marijuana), and the line 'Gettin' high? Nah, right now we're gettin' hired' directly references drug use as a concept before deflecting it. The phrase 'Y'all can take the green stuff / I'll be on a view high' further alludes to marijuana, with 'view high' used as a substitute. These references, while not glorifying drug use, are present and recognizable to older audiences. The song also touches on mental health themes (being 'stuck inside my head from November to May'), social media criticism, religious/scriptural references, and a general message of mindfulness and gratitude. There is no explicit language, sexual content, or violence. The overall message is positive and encouraging, but the subtle drug references warrant some parental awareness.
